Personality & Traits
Personal History | N'Tgni was born to a Romulan woman believed to be her father's mistress, but about whom no records exist and she has no memory. Her father (or holographic recreations of him) raised her and trained her to be a loyal and deadly assassin, much like her older half-sister Drusilla, about whom she was unaware. She would learn at a later age that the time her father did spend with her in public was largely to dissuade any potential assassins. She was enrolled in the Imperial War Academy once she came of schooling age, and excelled in her studies. When Drusilla left her father's service in the chaos after Hobus, the mourning teenager was finally brought into her father's work, as he used his extensive criminal enterprise to accrue power favor with the newly consolidated Imperialist faction of surviving Romulans. She changed her name to Rhianha to honour those lost on Romulus, and seemed to become almost entirely emotionally detached, a sort of atavistic reflexive kolinahr. He was eventually given an Ambassadorship and assigned to Starbase 51, Starfleet's first facility in the Gamma Quadrant in 2395. She went as his Chief of Security, but was largely unaware of the criminal activities he indulged in, allowing authorities to telepathically read her for plausible deniability. When then Lieutenant Commander Drusilla Creon learned about her, she quickly told her everything about their father. Though she refused to believe it at first, when she started to pull at the threads of her father's lies, his dealings and her implication in them became apparent, and she sought asylum in the Federation. She attended Starfleet Academy after rigorous telepathic screening, and graduated on an accelerated entry track, given her experience. Her first assignment was aboard the USS Mercury, alongside the crew who'd facilitated her asylum request aboard Starbase 51. She was Chief of Security by the time the Mercury was destroyed, and found herself redeployed to Strat Ops as the Mercury's crew found redeployment throughout the fleet. |
