Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Lisdu has lived for so long as a spiritual genie in a bottle, that now he wants to get out and see the universe. Though a bit agoraphobic, he will push himself to experience and enjoy. Professionally, he has developed "holo-therapy", using the holo-deck as a deep therapeutic tool and reflection pool. Usually taking special clients, from one part of the quadrant to the other, now he wants to settle on a place to call home. Is he becoming a real boy? |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | + A Tai Chi master which has been converted into combat on a number of occasions. + Though not a Betazoid, Lisdu nurtures an uncanny ability to sense how someone is 'present' (or lack thereof) in a space; in the moment. + Realizing that many soldiers, officers and rogues of all kind, confess better while training; Lisdu has learned a number of combat techniques. Also in that endeavor he has learned a lot about bars, drinking and local holidays of all sorts. - Lisdu has lead a monastic life and thus lacks the knowledge of being worldly. Some have even said that beyond his holodeck/office/residence he suffers from bouts of agorafobia. He finds this hilarious. |
| Ambitions | - One of the founders of 'holo-therapy' Lisdu hopes to make working with patients and clients in a holo-setting of their creation a common practice. - The photonic wants to escape his bottle, and float a bit about the universe. And not in one of those uncomfortable uniforms! |
| Hobbies & Interests | Tai-Chi, martial arts, chess, psychology, history, local festivals, cooking, sourdough baking (a skill he picked up from a client that could only relive a past trauma by punching dough). |
| Languages | Multiple, most from the alpha quadrant. | |
| Personal History | When Lisdu became self-aware, the product of a halo-program emphasizing meditation and self- renewal on board the USS Asimov, he retained the algorithms and data- structures of tranquility and genuine concern for those around him. That along with a deep affinity and ability for Tai-Chi Analysts postulated that the information sent to the hologram far exceeded its parameters and purpose. Further study by the burgeoning Center for Photonic Studies, concluded this could be a "short-cut" to expanding the photonic community. Lisdu stayed in the Zen inner sanctum that "created" him, months and months went by where everyone thought of him as part of the scenery. In that time, he developed the ability to 'read the room' more than just read people. He ran simulations and simulations on people's needs and wants. In that way he accumulated a serious amount of data on the crew. A rogue Ferengi Daimon attempted to mine the data, transporting onto the Asimov's holodeck. This was where Lisdu pushed his tai-chi training just a bit and repelled the attack. While Starfleet took notice, Lisdu has always vacillated with joining the inter-planetary construct. Thus he preferred to simply serve the crew of the Asimov until reaching Jupiter station. From there he roamed the quadrant for almost a decade, offering his knowledge and services to many. In that time he developed a very exclusive holo-therapy practice. But after ten years of that, Lisdu no wants to put down some roots - in space! |
