| Summary | Since the death of his physical body, the Commander was able to use his natural ability to regenerate himself to merge his consciousness with his ship. Now he exists purely as a projected algorithm, but he remains the confident, eloquent and charming individual he was before his physical death. In life the Commander was a Time Lord, (he prefers Gallifreyan) a species of impossibly advanced time travellers from the world of Gallifrey. After the annihilation of his people in a war across time with their mortal enemies, he chased the last of the foes into our universe, capturing it at the cost of his own life. |

Personality & Traits
| Personal History | The Commander was found in stasis aboard the USS Excalibur. Though his body was lost not long after being revived, he was able to help the DS13 crew to defeat the creature known as a 'Dalek' aboard. Through a process he described as 'regeneration' he was able to merge his mind with the Excalibur's systems and continue existing as an algorithm, comparable to a Federation hologram. He has since given Starfleet permission to use his vessel in the form of a perfect replica of the USS Excalibur, a fully operational craft in the form of a Constitution-class ship with access to any technology Starfleet contemporaneously posseses. It is an extension of his timeship, but not the timeship itself. Only the Commander can grant access to the timeship region, but he can also exert defensive capabilities against any who were to board the Excalibur. |
