Station Commander's log, Stardate 79643.71.
Our Sector Commander has reached us, while some are disquieted by Admiral Gali's directness, I must admit I find his way efficient and agreeable, though I would not seek to emulate it.
The Klingon diplomatic delegation arrived earlier this morning, bringing almost a thousand new residents for the station, as well as several ships to be deployed in the region. I am hopeful that their addition will be a positive one, the Empire has sent Dowager General Kloh'theQ to serve as their representative, I have no doubt she is a formidable woman.
Earlier today I authorised the unsealing of one of the totem objects, the kind of which Dr T'Zor emerged from. Though it would be my preference that they remain inert, evidently this one was beginning to open of its own accord. Within we found a being quite unlike anything ever encountered, apparently from a distant future. His name is Ramielos Volsunga, a Space Marine of the Adeptus Astartes, a monastic military order devoted to an 'Imperium of Man' and it's Emperor, who he venerates as a divinity.
We are fortunate that the injuries sustained in subduing him were minimal, I have no doubt that the situation could easily have been much worse, despite the precautions taken in the HazMat lab. He is presently contained in the lower dock, and the Commander reports that he has excised several 'metaphysical pathogens' apparently found within the man's psyche. Dr S'Lace and Commander Atna have reviewed this process, so I trust that any knowledge to be gleaned from it will be of value.
It remains to be seen if he will prove to be anything but a danger, works are underway to replicate a cell for him, I have heard it described as 'the kennel', yet he has already made several attempts to escape the forcefield he was suspended in, resulting in his vacuum exposure. Despite this, his extensive genetic augmentations meant that he remained conscious for half an hour. He is a most remarkable specimen, however if he continues to pose a threat, we may need to consider more severe methods.
End log.
